While my guitar gently weeps

Pulled up my electric guitar yesterday afternoon and noodled around. So out of practice, but it was comforting to relearn some moves, even if they were sloppy. I was reminded by others of the times I would play my guitar in school or university. It feels a bit like a lifetime ago, as I'd forgotten some of those shared experiences. Maybe it was. I was an offbeat kid, maybe a bit of a wannabe bohemian. Back in high school I found a small portable speaker at Radio Shack that, with the help of an adapter or few and some guitar effects pedals, I pressed into use as a makeshift portable amp. I recall that, for a time when I was single, I'd resorted to sleeping with my guitar on my bed so I could noodle with it prior to sleeping or just after waking, as my somewhat hazy brain was better at coming up with more novel-sounding hooks or melodies than my usual alert brain.
